Cockatoo education is the brainchild of Michael and Binh, we see the limiting factor for many children and young entrepreneurs is education, education doesn’t not necessarily mean formal schooling, though schooling is certainly a part of becoming educated but there is much more to becoming a successful business person.
The traditional way that charity works is to support people through giving, this giving though comes with very serious overheads which means the target audience does not often see much benefit from the benefactors who have given.
Cockatoo Education changes this in the same way that giving a hungry mouth a fish to eat is not as beneficial as teaching the same person how to fish so they can provide their own families and others with food to eat. Our aim is to teach English as well as incubate and nurture the opportunity that exists if someone can imagine a better life and wishes to turn their dream into a reality.
For us our goal is to teach our young people English through interactions that are as natural as possible, the traditional means of teaching a language do not teach in a way that is conducive to quickly picking up a language and being able to use it to communicate with fluent English speakers.
Michael has 20 years of Corporate experience working with some of the largest software companies including: Dell, Symantec, CyberArk, Quest Software and Broadcom and has a very good understanding of communications within these organisations as well as how best help foreign language speakers quickly pick up the English language.
Michael is TEFL certified by TEFL.ORG and can help with learning the English language for non native speakers, his accent is easy to understand as he has spent considerable time in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.
